Tonight at Seattle Pacific University I have the honor of speaking on a panel at an event for National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Alongside me will be Dr. Jennifer McKinney, PhD, Director of Women’s Studies at Seattle Pacific University and Caleb Mitchell, MA, therapist with a specialty in Eating Disorder Treatment. I’ll be speaking on body image as I’ve experienced it through the lens of my camera, celebrity vs. humanity, an airbrushed culture, and the differences/similarities between males and females when they sit as subjects for my photographs. The event is at 7 pm in the Science Building Lecture Hall and is open to the public. It should be a really interesting evening and I’m excited to hear what Dr. McKinney and Caleb Mitchell have to present.

I’m doing some marketing work for Canlis this week. Today we were doing a shoot and KOMO flew overhead and took some footage. You can be friends with Canlis on Facebook and vote for their chef, Jason Franey, who is up for a national award. If you’ve never eaten at Canlis then I would highly recommend making a reservation or dropping in for a drink. I doubt you’ll ever meet owners who love their restaurant, staff and customers more than Brian and Mark.

Well, he gave her a dimestore watch
And a ring made from a spoon
Everyone is looking for someone to blame
But you share my bed, you share my name
Well, go ahead and call the cops
You don’t meet nice girls in coffee shops
She said baby, I still love you
Sometimes there’s nothin left to do
Apologies to the 3 of you who were disappointed in me today, and you’re welcome to the rest of you who were annoyed last year.
Happy Groundhog Day!
